A hardcover publication of Mike (Spike) Whiley’s stories and recollections from boyhood through school years, a life in cricket, rugby, and 39 years in the Government Education service, retiring after nine years in 1993 as Headmaster Plumtree.

Mike taught at 5 senior schools – UBHS, Lord Malvern, Allan Wilson, Ellis Robins and Plumtree. His active participation on the sports field, umpiring/refereeing, national selector (Nuffield), rugby and cricket national administration, brought him into contact with fellow countrymen across the land. This collection of the stories of his experiences is very much a history of the times.
